Hallöchen da draußen!
Nicht mehr lange, am 11. September steige ich in den
Flieger nach Italien! Aufregend und ein wenig beängstigend! Ein bisschen was zu
erzählen gibt es auch jetzt schon.
Organisatorisch ist das meiste schon geregelt, auch dank
meines wundervollen Studiengangs, der mich ja erst nach Florenz führt. Ich bin
aktuell im dritten Master-Semester des – ich zitiere – „internationaler
Exzellenz-Studiengangs“ (klingt exklusiver als es ist!) Deutsch-Italienische
Studien / Studi Italo-Tedeschi, eine Kooperation der Universitäten Bonn und
Florenz. Ich „muss“ also nach Florenz – und ja, das ist der Hammer, logisch.
Das tolle ist, dass die Universität deswegen das meiste für mich erledigt und
dann bekomme ich auch noch ein Erasmus-Stipendium!
Was ich selbst machen musste war die Wohnungssuche und
aus diesem Grund war ich kürzlich in Italien. Zugegebenermaßen nicht nur
deswegen, ich wollte auch meinen italienischen Freund besuchen. Mit ihm war ich
einen Tag in Florenz. Zu Beginn hatten wir ein bisschen Zeit, waren am Dom,
der berühmten Ponte Vecchio und all den anderen Touristenmagneten. Es war ein bisschen merkwürdig, durch diese Massen
von fotografierenden Menschen zu gehen und daran zu denken, dass ich bald dort
wohnen würde!

Die eigentliche Wohnungssuche fand dann aber etwas
außerhalb statt. Ich sah mehrere Wohnungen, war sehr dankbar, mir diesen
Marathon nicht alleine antun zu müssen und fand schließlich ein Zimmer in einem
wirklich hübschen Haus im Viertel Careggi. Dort sind mir meine Freunde
natürlich herzlich Willkommen, ich füge jedem Post am Ende eine kleine
Übersicht darüber ein, wann ich schon Gäste habe und wann ihr gerne noch
vorbeischauen könnt. Ich freue mich auf euren Besuch!
Nun habe ich also noch ein bisschen Zeit, muss ich noch
um einige Dinge an meiner Heimatuniversität kümmern, während ich schon erste
Kontakte in Florenz geknüpft habe und mir – sehr deutsch – einen Stadtplan
gekauft habe. Ich will an meinem ersten florentiner Uni-Tag (22. September) ja
die Uni finden! Hauptsächlich aber freue ich mich, und ansonsten weiß ich ja
schon, was für ein Stress so ein Auslandsaufenthalt sein kann – und wie gut
Pizza, Pasta und Gelato sind…

there!
Just a
little more to go and on the 11th September I’ll get on the plane to
Italy! Exciting and a little frightening! And I’ve got already a little bit to
tell you about.
Most of
the organizational stuff is done, thanks to my wonderful field of studies, which
leads me to Florence. Right now, I’m in the third semester of my Master Studies
in an – and I quote here – “international excellent course of studies” (sounds
more exclusive than it is) German-Italian Studies / Studi Italo-Tedschi, a
cooperation between the universities of Bonn and Florence. Thus, I’m “forced”
to go to Florence – it’s fantastic, of course! Cool thing about this is that
the University does a lot of organization for me plus I’m getting an Erasmus-Internship.
Among
the things I had to do myself was searching a flat and because of that I was in
Italy some time ago. Truth be told, it was not only the flat, I also wanted to
visit my Italian boyfriend. One day we spent together in Florence. At the
beginning, we had a bit of free time, so we visited the Dome the famous
Ponte Vecchio and all the other tourist-places. To me, it felt a little strange walking through this lot of
people, taking pictures, imagining that soon I was going to live in that very
city.

The
actual flat-searching wasn’t in the city centre. I had a look at various flats
and was oh so thankful that I didn’t have to do it alone. Finally, I found a
room in a lovely house in the neighbourhood of Careggi. My friends will always be
welcome to me; at the end of every post I will put a little scheme about when I’m
having guests and when I’m free to welcome you. I’m looking forward to seeing
you!
Now I
still have a little time. I need to get some things done for my home
university, while at the same time I met some people in Florence and bought –
very German – a city map. I mean, you don’t wanna get lost on your Florentine university-start
(22nd September)! Mainly, I’m really happy and looking forward to it
and at least I know, how much stress a term abroad can be – and how good the Pizza,
Pasta and Gelato is...
